Thank you very well written and written for the lay person, I appreciate that. It’s all about $$ isn’t it? My 90 yo mom on 8 different medications after a heart attack. Roller coaster of a ride trying to find the right balance. The great transfer of wealth 😑🙄

Interesante y sencillo. Ejercicio y comida sana. No medicamentos. Soy paciente cardíaco, de infarto hace dos años. No consumo medicamentos. Dieta sana lo mejor posible y ejercicio habitual, son profilaxis. Gracias doctor.

I'm impressed at how much valuable information you've packed into just two posts. The tweaking of what constitutes "safe" blood pressure numbers ties in with what I've seen in cholesterol guidelines. A reading that was "good" in 1983 is now considered "get your affairs in order". My primary care doctor, whom I see only twice a year, mandated by my Medicare Advantage program, is constantly worrying about my cholesterol numbers, as it will affect her performance rating. I realize that this corporate practice really wants scrips to be written that require monitoring, as that generates more visits and higher profits. I am free of prescriptions, and at 76 am in the best health ever. Back in my early 20s I was rated for life insurance due to high blood pressure. Now it is textbook perfect. The secret is very simple - eating an ancestral diet with no processed foods, walking 5k every day (except for lightning and ice), and getting good sleep. I will continue this regimen as I move into the last quarter of my life.
