Every case of illness, disease, and cure is a story. An anecdote. Every case of prevention is a statistic. Illness, disease, and cure can be proven to have occurred. Although modern medicine simply ignored most cases of illness and most cases of CURED.
I remember hearing about this book in school in the early 80’s in the Middle East.
The name ibn sina is known as shining example of medical advancement
But as u write this I can confirm that we were only given headlines. Not a single detail , framework or teaching were taught to us . They didn’t really talk about what he wrote or how he explained life and health.
All they talked about was the accomplishment itself.
So the sad pathetic schooling system is just as bad as it is in the west.
Even more so now. Thanks to USaid and other such purveyors of cash for obedience
The curriculum has been corrupted
They even try to push their toxic cultural dei, climate change and transgender agenda down people’s throat with promise of $ aid
Because otherwise they know damn well their garbage would just be immediately repositioned to the dumps where it belongs!
“Unfortunately, we live in a time that normalizes and glorifies discarding our forefathers.”
Agree! This is so true of many aspects of modernity!! Just watched a couple documentaries, one on the trappers of the Taiga in Russia and another of the Bajau aka Sea Gypsy. It makes me mad to think of the “technology” we are losing by forcing indigenous people out of their way of life. We don’t respect our elders/ancestors and their amazing wisdom. We wouldn’t be here if they were so stupid.
Anyhoot…I hope you’re able to integrate what you’ll learn from your reading of the wise ones which I believe comes down to being in harmony with nature.
I would recommend "Radical Medicine" by Louisa Williams. Aside from a lot of natural therapeutic advice, the book details how the allopathic model came to displace the homeopathic approach.
A century ago you could go to the Mayo Clinic and take a raw milk cure for various ailments.
Not sure which country you were trained in , tho the top photo here seems to be one of the waterfalls i bathe in ?? Anyhows , from my experiences having had a long term doctor/pharma partner and many friends who are doctors, and an ex who taught tibetan healing I have to say the West has a lot of doctors who are interested in and well versed in ancestral methods of healing. We also have a lot who have been so pressured and busy they had little access to this stuff. While the world comes together at rapid pace , sadly the medics are becoming increasingly divorced from these traditional areas of knowledge. Real healing is pretty obvious when you stumble across it. For whatever odd reason I've been able to see what may be termed 'kundalini' since my earliest memories and so I believe it to be an innate sense of health .. In recent years I was finally able to discuss this in great detail with many doctors and psychiatrists and neurologists who were very keen to integrate these things into their understanding and practise .. so basically people *know... I think our main battle now is preserving our rights to bodily autonomy and freedom to explore and exercise these deeper more archaic methods of health .
I think you are right. The doctors I've met open to more traditional and eastern practices seem to share some things in common, one of which is they tend to be older.
The younger/newer generation of trained MDs seem more dismissive. Maybe it's an appreciation that comes with time.
Totally. I've been consistent throughout my life so i have a benchmark from which to compare, I think. I've discussed with medics of all ages and grades. Hereditary doctor families manage to maintain a broader perspective on things and older doctors tend to gain more courage and status from which to speak up. I fear where the younger medics are at now because they will be overwhelmed with knowledge and pressure and i doubt they will have much chance to explore deeply. My main hope is that a sideshoot of natural medicine will be permitted to endure and focus on its own methods. if this is outlawed (as i think it may well be) we will have a huge battle ahead. If you are in America (?) you will have a better chance than we do in in the UK and europe i think .
Enjoyed reading your comment. Found it an interesting point about how the West has a lot of doctors interested in and knowledgeable about other types of healing. I recall reading more about this type of doctor in the past, especially when there was this fondness of all things eastern some decades ago. My own observation, though not living in the west, is that many doctors woke up and began exploring other things or at least started to express themselves about it post-covid disappointment.
When it comes to bodily autonomy and freedom, I feel that the western conventional medicine model (especially as regards health/disease/immunity) is very narrow and reductionist. It’s something that requires dissociation from many even physiological facts (before we get to talk about any kind of energy system expressions, like how you mentioned kundalini). I don’t see why everyone must subscribe to that model, especially when there are overt actions to disavow any responsibility for harms.
Yes .. a few years ago there was huge enthusiasm for natural health . around 2012 this started to reverse , here at least, and then covid seems to have polarised us into the compliant majority versus the few idealists. I genuinely think we are at the very beginning of understanding real health but if we are to be persecuted for attempting to explore this, well humanity may be messing up big time. A good friend of mine told me there was effectively a cull of shamans in south america in recent years. The loss of archaic knowledge is very worrying I think.

No case of "prevented" can be proven
