Many are aware that to properly absorb Calcium, you need vitamin D. But, few are aware of the vital role of vitamin K2.
Calcium is one of the most abundant minerals in our body. It is also one of the few which receives a lot of mainstream attention. In the past, and in some cases to this day, the way calcium is promoted is less than ideal.
Whether the campaign strategy is targeting school-age children, or post-menopausal women, the information and strategies provided are suboptimal.
I would bet that when people think of taking supplemental calcium for health concerns, they may also remember that you have been advised to take vitamin D for optimal absorption of the calcium. If it cannot get into your bloodstream, it cannot help you.
But, I bet you didn’t know about the vital importance of vitamin K2.
Especially important if you take statins to control cholesterol.
