Great list thank you! The mistake im trying to no longer make is to not allow my emotions. This is a change I made more than two years ago and it’s been a game changer for my health. Allowing my emotions after mostly suppressing them through adulthood has definitely improved my health.
Thank you for sharing your own struggles. I have several of my own and pretty certain my psychological state is a huge underlying factor.
The one that trips me up the most is the way I constantly knock my hips out of alignment when exercising. I'm a yoga teacher who doesn't do yoga because of it.
Where I live doesn't offer many options for healing this but I'm off to the chiropractor tomorrow morning. This particular round was caused by 1 min wall sits which he's warned me not to do anymore. Oh well.
I would just like to express my gratitude for your articles, which I've begun reading and considering in earnest from the beginning of your Substack. This one I especially appreciate, you revealing a little about your own experience as a fellow imperfect human being negotiating this challenging environment. Sincere best wishes to us all
Great list! About the cream…I have always had dry lips but oily skin, weird but there you go. I have discovered that pure lanolin is the best thing on the market for moisturization. It moisturizes for hours and hours, honestly 12 hours or more. Just posting in the even that someone else has been through lip balm after lip balm and still has dry lips. It’s safe for nursing moms to use on their nipples, too.
Thank you - All good, except maybe sunscreen. Avoided the sun for years...finding now, sunlight (early AM and PM) can regulate circadian rhythms and much more. Neurosurgeon Jack Kruse is heavy into sunlight for health.
Eliminating seed oils has been a big one for me. I am a fair skinned redhead and stopped using sunscreen 2 years ago. I now expose myself carefully and slowly to the sun in the spring and avoid seed oils. Also, stopped wearing sunglasses.

I'm guessing fitness can be competitive for you. In some way.
Yes, and I need to let go of that. Thanks!
Great advice on slowing down. How do you find out your temperament?

Lanolin is a good option

That's the spirit!
I recommend against sunscreen.
I misunderstood. Thought it was a recommendation.
